Description

The ZZPerformance LE5 Performance Cams are engineered to significantly boost the horsepower of your 2.4L Ecotec engine. Key specifications show an increase in duration at 1mm lash lift from the stock LE5's 210.3° intake/.395" lift and 195.4° exhaust/.415" lift to the ZZP LE5 cams' 220° intake/.422" lift and 206° exhaust/.420" lift. While optimizing cam phasing can yield additional gains, it is not a requirement for improved performance. Crucially, the installation of these performance cams mandates the replacement of your existing valve springs and retainers. For engine builds that anticipate exceeding 7,000 RPM, ZZPerformance recommends either removing or replacing the stock balance shafts with neutral balance shafts to ensure optimal operation and durability. Proper installation by a knowledgeable mechanic is essential. Incorrect setup of the timing chain and gears can lead to poor performance or severe engine damage. For optimal results, consider professional installation and tuning.
