LE5 Throttle Body Adapter Plate

The ZZP LE5 Throttle Body Adapter Plate is designed to enhance airflow for vehicles equipped with the LE5 intake manifold. It enables the installation of a stock LSJ (2.0 supercharged) throttle body, which is larger than the original 64.6mm throttle body. The LE5 intake manifold features a 66.5mm opening, while the LSJ throttle body measures 67.4mm. This adapter plate effectively bridges the size difference, tapering the LSJ throttle body to match the intake manifold. This upgrade is beneficial for both 2.2L and 2.4L LE5 engines, with the primary application being the 2.4L for optimal airflow improvement. The 10% larger throttle body setup can result in a horsepower increase of 2-7 HP, depending on the extent of existing vehicle modifications. The kit includes the ZZP spacer plate with a tapered hole, a wire harness adapter, and all necessary hardware: (8) stainless socket head bolts, (4) stainless washers, and an oil-resistant o-ring. Installation is straightforward, but it is important to note that ECU tuning may be required for optimal performance and system integration. The adapter plate is designed to fit 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalts, 2006-2011 Chevrolet HHRs, and 2003-2007 Saturn Ions.
