The RPM LE5 Turbo Kit is engineered to transform your 2.4L LE5 engine into a powerful turbocharged unit, offering a significant performance upgrade. This turbocharger is water-cooled as a standard feature, promoting a long and trouble-free service life. The kit also includes a black ceramic coated downpipe, which not only adds a stealthy aesthetic but also provides protection against the elements and corrosion. A digital ProSport boost gauge is included, allowing you to monitor boost levels effectively. The kit offers various intercooler options to suit different performance goals. The standard STREET RPM Intercooler features a bar and plate design, with core dimensions of 26.5″ X 6.5″ X 2.85″, rated for 350hp. For increased capacity, an Upgraded Street-Comp RPM Intercooler is available with dimensions of 26.5″ X 8″ X 2.85″ and a 500hp rating. The top-tier Upgraded TRU-RACE RPM Intercooler boasts dimensions of 26.5″ X 8″ X 3.5″, a total core surface area of 742ci, and is rated for up to 600hp. Boost control is configurable, with the base system designed for 5psi. A manual boost controller can be added to raise boost levels, though running over 11psi necessitates an RPM Fuel Upgrade kit. The kit includes pre-bent coolant lines for the turbocharger, requiring a modification to the OEM thermostat housing for the coolant feed line; a pre-drilled and tapped housing is available as an option. Comprehensive ECM tuning is crucial for optimal performance, with RPM offering a V-Tuner Network solution for live tuning, ensuring the calibration is specific to your vehicle and its modifications. The factory radiator is typically sufficient up to 9psi, but higher boost levels or future expansion may benefit from an upgraded dual-core radiator rated for up to 500hp applications.
