The Diode Dynamics SMD12 LED Board is engineered to upgrade your vehicle's interior, trunk, cargo, or accent lighting. It serves as a direct, plug-and-play replacement for common incandescent bulb types including 74, 194, BA9S, and various festoon sizes (29mm, 31mm, 36mm, 39mm). This board features 12 SMD chips arranged in a matrix, delivering approximately triple the light output of a standard factory bulb, rated at a measured 118 lumens. It offers an omnidirectional 270-degree beam angle for broad illumination. Constructed with constant-current circuitry and transient suppression, the SMD12 is built for longevity, preventing flickering and premature failure. Diode Dynamics tests their LED output in-house, providing accurate lumen figures. The board is available in multiple color options, including 6000K cool white, red, blue, and green, allowing for customization to match your style or needs. Installation is straightforward and typically takes 5-10 minutes with basic tools, requiring no vehicle modification. The SMD12 can be mounted within the factory housing using the integrated 3M adhesive backing or can sit freely. It operates within a wide voltage range of 9-16V and has a low power draw of 0.163 amps at 13.2V, with a power consumption of 2.15 watts. The operating temperature range is -40C to 85C (-40F to 185F), ensuring reliable performance in various conditions. Each SMD12 board comes with a 3-year replacement warranty.
