The Alpine R2-W10D4 is the next generation of the R-Series Subwoofers, engineered for exceptional sound performance and authoritative bass. It boasts a larger motor structure with double-stacked magnets, providing more motor force for deeper bass and improved control over the subwoofer cone. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion, ensuring cleaner bass output. The cone is made of Kevlar-reinforced pulp for high performance and durability, even at high volumes. Constructed with a polypropylene/ceramic composite dust cap, this subwoofer offers rigidity and excellent internal damping for a smoothed bass response and tight bass reproduction. This material also provides higher heat reliability for continuous bass performance. The R2-W10D4 features Dual Voice Coil (DVC) technology with easy configuration jumpers for flexible application. It also includes an "EZ-Change" twist-lock grille mounting system for easy installation or removal of an optional grille, offering added protection to the cone. The R2-W10D4 is compatible with the KTE-10G Grille System, which is sold separately. Alpine's High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) Surround Technology is incorporated for increased accuracy. This rubber surround allows the subwoofer cone to efficiently move air while maintaining a cool operating temperature, enabling up to 20mm of total cone excursion for incredible accuracy. The subwoofer handles 750W RMS and 2250W peak power, with a frequency response of 26Hz-200Hz and a sensitivity of 82.4dB (1W/1m). It has a nominal impedance of 4Ω, a 65mm voice coil, and 20mm of X-Max. The mounting depth is 6 inches and the cutout size is 9-1/16 inches. Push-type speaker terminals accept up to 8AWG wire.
