LED Smoked Light Kit

The Wipac DA1577 is a comprehensive LED smoked light kit designed for Land Rover Defender and Series 3 models, offering a stylish upgrade with enhanced visibility. This kit features 73mm diameter smoked lamps with a multi-voltage rating of 9-33V, ensuring compatibility across a range of power systems. The lights are waterproof rated to IP67 and are both E Marked and SAE Approved, meeting stringent quality and safety standards. The kit provides a complete lighting solution, including 2 x Smoked Front Sidelights, 2 x Smoked Front Indicators, 2 x Smoked Rear Indicators, 2 x Smoked Stop/Tail Lights, 1 x Smoked Fog Light with plinth, 1 x Smoked Reverse Light with plinth, 1 x LED Number Plate Light, and 1 x LED replacement Flasher Unit. Installation is generally straightforward with two securing screws, though some modification to original wiring may be needed. Defenders manufactured from 1994 onwards with AMP connectors are typically plug-and-play. However, earlier Defenders and Series 3 vehicles may require soldering or the use of separate connector fitting kits (STC1188 and STC4637), which are available separately. It is important to note that the fog and reverse lights in this kit do not come with pre-fitted connector plugs and will require crimping connectors onto the leads. Additionally, LED lights are polarity sensitive. Land Rover altered the orientation of positive and negative leads in indicator and sidelight connectors around 1998. If your vehicle was built after this date, you may need to switch the connector pins in the plugs for the indicators and sidelights. This is a simple procedure and can be safely tested before permanent installation; no damage will occur if tested incorrectly.
