The LEED Brakes Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit with MaxGrip XDS Rotors and Zinc Plated Calipers is engineered to replace drum brakes on 1987-1992 Ford Mustang Fox Body 7.5 and 8.8 rear axles with advanced disc brakes. This kit improves safety and braking reliability by providing enhanced stopping power and heat dissipation, essential for both spirited driving and everyday use. Includes premium cast iron rotors and calipers, all zinc plated to resist rust and corrosion. The rotors measure 11.25 inches in diameter and are drilled, slotted, and vented to maximize cooling and fade resistance. The calipers are single-piston, heavy-duty, with an integrated parking brake, finished in corrosion-resistant zinc plating for long-lasting durability. Installation is straightforward and uses factory mounting points for a direct bolt-on fit. No drilling or modifications to axle shafts are necessary, allowing for a clean and efficient upgrade.
