The HKS Legamax Premium Cat-Back Exhaust system is specifically engineered for the 2017 and later Honda Civic Type-R (FK8) model. It represents HKS's initial offering in their product lineup for this vehicle, focusing on enhancing performance while maintaining a comfortable driving experience. This system features an increased piping diameter, starting with a 3-inch main pipe that transitions to dual 2.4-inch pipes leading into the mufflers, and exiting through dual 3.8-inch burnt titanium tips. Designed to significantly reduce back-pressure by 50%, this exhaust allows the vehicle's turbine to spool more freely from lower RPMs, resulting in improved overall power and throttle response across the entire power band. HKS has engineered this system to be capable of handling high-power builds, supporting up to 532 horsepower without experiencing any power loss. The exhaust features an idle sound level of 67 dB, compared to the OEM's 58 dB, and a maximum sound level of 88 dB, versus the OEM's 82 dB. The system is manufactured in Japan.
