Level 0 Rear Axle with Chromoly Center Bar

The DriveShaft Shop Basic Axle Level 0 offers an upgrade over standard replacement axles for 1999-2005 Volkswagen Golf, GTI, Jetta, and Beetle models equipped with either the VR6 or 1.8T engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Note that it is not compatible with the 337 chassis. Construction includes a chromoly center bar for strength, a real billet inner CV with an enlarged, oversized tripod for enhanced durability, and a new heat treatment applied to the 1117 billet outer CV. These axles are positioned as a quality alternative to lower-cost rebuilds or less robust aftermarket options available on the market. While they offer superior performance compared to typical replacement axles, they come with no warranty against breakage and are explicitly stated as "not a racing axle."
