Level 1 Performance Clutch Kit

The Flyin' Miata Level 1 Performance clutch is engineered to be the most user-friendly Miata clutch available, offering a smooth take-up and a pedal feel that is nearly like a stock clutch. It has been tested extensively in various Miata applications, including track cars and daily drivers. This clutch utilizes a steelback copper woven organic friction material and is rated to hold 318 lb-ft of torque at the crank. It's suitable for use in turbo and supercharged cars with unmodified engine internals. The clutch features a new friction disc design with a thinner disc and a lower profile marcel spring, which decreases the necessary pedal throw and reduces the need for pedal adjustment. It is also easier on the thrust bearing and clutch hydraulics compared to other performance clutches. The Level 1 clutch is available in a 1.8 size and can be adapted for use on a 1.6 engine if a 1.8 flywheel is also installed. The kit includes the clutch switch over-ride, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and clutch alignment tool. Flyin' Miata strongly recommends replacing seals, such as the rear main seal and transmission seals, during installation due to the labor involved. This clutch is designed specifically for the Miata engine and transmission. Fitment is guaranteed for 1990-1997, 1999-2005, and 2004-2005 MSM models. While it's possible to fit with engine swaps, it is not guaranteed, and users should consult with the swap kit manufacturer. A 90-day warranty is included.
