The LITE↯BLOX LB20XX is a versatile, high-performance starter battery engineered and handcrafted in Germany. Housed in a thermally and mechanically decoupled carbon fiber casing with an integrated bracket, this battery utilizes intelligent electronics and an active kill-switch system. It offers substantial weight savings, typically 15-20kg (33-44lbs), compared to standard OEM starter batteries with 35-55Ah capacities. Key features include plug-and-play replacement for almost any production car, wireless data monitoring via a smartphone app, and maintenance-free operation due to an intelligent BMS system that protects against over/under voltage, temperature, current, and short circuits. The innovative electronics provide two kill-switch programs: I.K.O.S. (Intelligent Kill-Operation-Switch) for effective disconnection due to overload or via smartphone, and A.V.A.T. (Active Vehicle Anti Theft) which instantly shuts down the battery at any theft attempt while still supplying energy to consumers. It employs the latest premium cell technology and offers rapid charging, making it optimal for vehicles with start-stop systems. With a marginal self-drain rate, it can remain unused for over 200 days when I.K.O.S. is active. The battery is tested in professional motorsport and is FIA approved for Formula 3. Application suitability includes 4-8 cylinder engines (2500-4000ccm) and daily driven cars with parking periods of 2-4 weeks. It is also ideal for sportscars, track tools, motorsport (including race track circuits, 24h races, endurance, drag racing, Formula 3, NASCAR), tuning, Car-Hifi, and boats. For vehicles with intelligent battery management (IBS/IAC), battery programming is mandatory. For vehicles from 2019 where the car battery cannot be programmed to the ECU, a special IBS adapter is mandatory. Applications with regenerative braking systems should use the LB28XX model only. For BMW F-series vehicles (M3/M4), the OEM battery cable for the BMW M2 must be used. Technical data includes a weight of approximately 20XXg (4.4lbs), dimensions of 202 x 123 x 100mm, a voltage range of 13.2V/15.2V (nominal/max), and a capacity of 13Ah (nominal) or 35-55Ah (Pb-eq). The cranking current is 250A (continuous) / 750A (peak @RT), with an operating temperature range of -20 to +80°C. The lifespan is 3-5 times that of an OEM battery. The connection is via OEM clamp or M6 ring terminal. It is certified according to various EU directives and UN38.3, with KBA type approval and DMSB registration for motorsport.
