The EarthX ETX680C is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) starter battery engineered for specific applications, including experimental aircraft and race cars. It is suitable for engines up to 400ci with alternators/generators up to 60 amps. This battery features a robust Battery Management System (BMS) that protects its cells from over-discharge, over-charge, short circuits, and temperature extremes, while also ensuring cell balancing for equal charge levels. The ETX-Hundred Series, including this model, incorporates redundant electronic circuits and a battery fault indicator that can be connected to an EFIS or a 12-volt LED light to monitor the battery's state of charge and health. The ETX680C distinguishes itself from the ETX680 model by its more compact physical dimensions, indicated by the 'C' designation. It weighs only 3.9 lbs, offering significant weight savings compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. Users can expect increased cranking power, with the ETX680C providing 320 CCA and 680 PCA, a substantial upgrade from batteries like the PC680 which offers 170 CCA and 520 PCA. Included with the ETX680C are two 6mm screws and foam for proper fitment. An LED fault light is available separately.
