This weight reduction contributes to improved performance and handling. The outer rings are constructed in partnership with a race brake manufacturer, featuring 12 attachment points for enhanced durability and strength. The inner hats are CNC machined in-house from aluminum, also incorporating 12 attachment points for robustness. The slotted design is noted for being whisper quiet during operation. JH Motorsports advises against using EBC brake pads with these rotors, as customer reports and internal findings indicate that EBC pads can leave excessive deposits, potentially leading to brake pulsation. This is often due to a break-in coating on many EBC pads reacting with the zinc plating used on the JHM rotors.
