The Clutch Masters FW-046-AL is a lightweight aluminum flywheel engineered for the 2007-2017 Mitsubishi Lancer models equipped with 2.0L non-turbo and 2.4L engines. Constructed from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade billet aluminum, this flywheel is designed for optimal heat dissipation and serviceability, offering superior performance compared to one-piece chromoly units. It features a replaceable high carbon steel friction surface, ensuring compatibility with any clutch friction material. Additionally, the starter ring gears are made from high carbon heat-treated steel for enhanced durability. The reduced mass of this flywheel directly translates to increased acceleration and improved mid-range torque in normally aspirated engines, as it requires less effort to overcome the rotational weight of the stock flywheel. This component meets SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2 standards and is assembled with military-grade fasteners, making it a premier option in the industry.
