The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade to your vehicle's braking system, providing the ultimate in stopping power. By integrating advanced brake technology, the kit effectively reduces brake fade and continuously cools the brake pad surface during braking. The kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet. This caliper weighs just over 5 lbs. and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper design include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Stainless-steel brake lines are utilized to prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly for reduced rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications also offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses that can warp the disc or cup the braking surface under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. While cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler, the slotted rotors included in this kit are ideal for vehicles that see more track use than daily driving.
