Lightweight Chromoly Flywheel

Crafted from 4140 chromium-molybdenum forging, this flywheel is CAD designed and CNC machined to exacting standards. Its material distribution is optimized for strength, superior heat dissipation, and reduced rotational inertia, leading to improved throttle response and quicker acceleration. Constructed from 4140 forged chromium-molybdenum steel, which is twice as strong as billet steel, this flywheel is built to last. It is dynamically computer balanced to 15,000 RPM, ensuring smooth operation at all engine speeds. The product weighs 15.45 lbs and includes 28 oz and 50 oz external balance weights with mounting bolts. It meets or exceeds SFI Certification (SFT 1.1 certification pending) and can be resurfaced up to four times for extended service life. This flywheel is designed as a direct replacement for specific Ford Mustang and Mercury Capri models. It fits 1981-1985 Ford Mustang (5.0L OHV 8cyl 302cu in), requiring a 10.5" clutch. It also fits 1986-1995 Ford Mustang GT and LX5.0 (5.0L OHV 8cyl 302cu in), and 1993-1995 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT (5.0L OHV 8cyl 302cu in). Additionally, it fits 1982-1985 Mercury Capri (5.0L OHV 8cyl 302cu in), also requiring a 10.5" clutch, and 1986-1986 Mercury Capri (5.0L OHV 8cyl 302cu in).
