The Nismo 12310-RSR41 is a lightweight flywheel designed to replace the factory unit, offering an ideal balance between reduced weight and consistent engine rotation at low RPM. Manufactured from high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel, it significantly reduces rotational weight by 60% to 70% compared to standard flywheels.

When paired with a Nismo clutch cover and disc, this flywheel contributes to an 80% to 85% total inertia weight reduction. This leads to less torque loss at low speeds and improved throttle response at higher RPMs. It also provides a more direct feel when used with a solid metal disc.

The Nismo Lightweight Flywheel (part number 12310-RSR41) is engineered to enhance engine performance by significantly reducing rotational mass. Crafted from high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel (SCM440H), this flywheel weighs only 8.31 kg, a substantial reduction from the OEM weight of 14.24 kg. This difference results in a 60% to 70% weight reduction and a decrease in inertial weight from 2.615 kg/cm²/sec² to 2.097 kg/cm²/sec². When used in conjunction with a Nismo clutch cover and clutch disc, it achieves a total inertia weight reduction of 80% to 85%, minimizing torque loss at low speeds and sharpening high-RPM response. For those seeking a more direct connection to the drivetrain, using this flywheel with a solid metal disc offers a distinct advantage over dual-mass units. Installation considerations include the use of included flywheel bolts and a press-in type dowel pin. While it can be used with the OEM clutch layout, it is recommended for optimal performance with the NISMO Sports Clutch Kit 3000S-RSR45-E. The product is compatible with Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 models equipped with the RB26DETT engine, specifically covering production dates from January 1999 through August 2002.
