Overview

The Aasco Billet Aluminum Lightweight Flywheel with Sachs Performance Clutch is a comprehensive package designed for specific Porsche 996 Non-Turbo models from 2002-2004. This kit is also compatible as a replacement for 2005-2008 Porsche 997S 3.8L applications, offering a complete solution for clutch and flywheel replacement. The kit includes the Aasco Billet Aluminum Lightweight Flywheel (106411-11), a Sachs Performance Pressure Plate (part number 883082999754), a Sachs Clutch Disc (part number 881861999856), and all necessary Sachs release bearing and hardware for installation. The Aasco flywheel itself is constructed from billet aluminum, contributing to a lightweight design that weighs 13.0 lbs. This flywheel is engineered to work with either a stock clutch disc or a spring hub sport disc (part #88 1861 999 856). The package also contains pilot bearing, crankshaft bolts, and a torque plate to facilitate installation. It is crucial to adhere to specific installation procedures. The installation instructions advise that a larger portion of the spring carrier must face towards the flywheel to prevent the clutch diaphragm spring from contacting the clutch disc. Failure to follow this precise procedure will void the warranty due to improper installation and can lead to clutch failure.
