Description

The I.L. Motorsport flywheel is a high-performance, ultra-lightweight drivetrain upgrade specifically engineered for Mazda MX-5 Miata models equipped with the 1.6L engine. Spanning the NA (MK1), NB (MK2), and NB-FL (MK2.5) series from 1989 through 2005, this flywheel weighs just 4.0kg to reduce rotating mass and improve engine revving characteristics. Designed with racing performance in mind, this flywheel provides a more responsive driving experience compared to the factory unit. It is versatile in its application, as it remains fully compatible with both original equipment (standard) clutches and various aftermarket sport clutch configurations. Professional installation is generally recommended due to the nature of drivetrain work.
