The Rigid Axle POSI-GM12C-3-RA is an Eaton-style limited-slip positraction differential carrier, engineered for 1963-1982 GM 8.875" 12-bolt car axles. This unit offers enhanced traction with its Raybestos composite clutches and boasts a durable forged steel carrier case. Its design allows for easy servicing and rebuilding, making it a versatile choice for daily drivers, weekend warriors, towing, basic off-road use, and street/strip applications. Key specifications include a 30 spline axle shaft compatibility, a standard ring gear rotation, and specific carrier break options to match your ring and pinion gear set (e.g., 2.73 & Numerically Lower, 3.07 - 3.90, and 4.10 & Numerically Higher). The carrier case is fully machined nodular steel, and it comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects. It requires non-synthetic GL-5 gear oil and a friction modifier for optimal performance.
