The Braille Battery I48CS is a 12-volt lithium-ion battery designed for high-performance applications. It offers significant weight savings compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, weighing only 18 lbs. The battery features brass terminals and a high amp design for superior starting power.

With a Pulse Cranking Amps (PCA) rating of 2875 and an Amp Hour (AH) capacity of 50, it is equivalent to a 150 Amp Hour lead-acid battery. The I48CS boasts a long life cycle of 5000 cycles at 10% Depth of Discharge (DOD) and excellent performance during off-season storage.

The Braille Battery i48CS Lithium “Intensity Carbon” MAX POWER Starting 12 Volt Battery is engineered as a high-performance replacement for traditional lead-acid batteries. Weighing only 19.9 lbs, it delivers substantial weight savings, increased power output, and a service life that can extend up to five times longer than conventional batteries. This battery excels in starting capabilities, offering high cranking amp output per kilogram and a fast, efficient recharge rate, up to five times quicker than lead-acid alternatives. It is also suitable for "Total Loss" applications where an alternator is not present. Physically, it measures 11" in length, 6.8" in width, and 7.7" in height. The terminal type is a threaded brass post (3/8″) with a removable stud, and the polarity is right-hand positive. Its LFP chemistry ensures reliability and performance. The battery offers a 5S PCA of 2875 and a 10s PDC of 2750, with a 12.8V nominal voltage. Its capacity is rated at 50.0 Ah or 640 Wh, with a continuous discharge current of 1000A. When installing this lithium battery in a BMW that requires coding, Braille recommends setting the battery code to the lowest/smallest AGM battery setting possible. Before purchasing, it is advised to double-check the size of your stock battery and compartment, as some vehicles may be limited to Group 48 size due to compartment constraints.
