The Flyin' Miata Little Big Brake Kit is an exclusive front brake upgrade designed to significantly reduce unsprung weight and improve braking performance for 1990-2005 Miata models. This kit replaces the stock cast iron calipers with lightweight aluminum Wilwood Powerlite calipers, resulting in a 4 lb weight savings per front wheel. The four-piston caliper design ensures even pad pressure, and the kit comes with Wilwood BP-20X compound pads, making it suitable for street and autocross use. While the stock pedal feel is maintained due to properly sized pistons, it's important to note that only pads specifically for Wilwood Powerlite calipers will fit; standard Miata pads are incompatible. These brakes are intended for street, autocross, and light track use, offering enhanced heat management over stock components. The kit is available to fit any 1994-05 stock Miata brake rotor. For the 10" rotor option, users must verify wheel clearance using provided templates, as the caliper sits very close to the wheel mounting surface. The 11" (10.6") rotors generally offer broader compatibility. Additionally, ensure any 11" rotors do not exceed 22.1 mm in thickness; FM branded rotors fit without issue. The hard-anodized finish on the calipers provides durability but may result in slight variations in shade between calipers. Rotors are not included in this kit.
