This camshaft is the factory Gen 3 4.8/5.3 camshaft, but it is also compatible with all 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L engines. It features a smooth idle quality and operates within a basic RPM range of 1200-5600 RPM. The camshaft specifications include a duration at 0.050 inch of 190/191 degrees, a valve lift of 0.466/0.457 inches, and a lobe separation angle of 114 degrees. It utilizes a hydraulic roller camshaft style and a three-bolt cam bolt style. Lifters are not included with this camshaft.

It serves as a stock replacement camshaft that is ideal for 2007 and newer trucks looking to eliminate the Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Displacement on Demand (DOD) systems. This part is the factory Gen 3 camshaft for 4.8L and 5.3L engines, and it is compatible with a broader range of LS engines, including all 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L variants. While it is a factory replacement for the LM7, it is noted to be smaller than the stock camshafts found in 6.0L and 6.2L engines. The camshaft specifications include a duration at 0.050 inch of 190 degrees for intake and 191 degrees for exhaust. Valve lift is measured at 0.466 inches on the intake and 0.457 inches on the exhaust, with a lobe separation angle of 114 degrees.
