The S&S Diesel LML-CP3-CARB 50 State CP3 Conversion Kit is engineered as a robust solution to the common CP4.2 high-pressure fuel pump failures experienced in 2011-2016 LML Duramax engines. This kit directly replaces the failure-prone CP4.2 with a dependable and proven CP3 high-pressure fuel pump, mitigating the risk of catastrophic fuel system damage that often accompanies CP4.2 failures, such as damage to injectors, rails, and lines. This specific kit is CARB-compliant, holding EO #D-756-4, which permits its use across all 50 states. This ensures compliance and preserves emissions performance. S&S Diesel Motorsport also offers alternative versions of the LML CP3 conversion kits for competition applications where emissions regulations may differ. These include a tuning-required version and a drop-in, no-tuning-required option. However, this specific 50-state compliant kit is explicitly designed for use with emissions control equipment and without requiring engine tuning.
