Overview

The Mr. Gasket 2231G is a set of 16 locking header bolts designed for performance engine builders. These bolts feature a 3/8 in.-16 thread size and a 0.750 in. underhead length, with an internal allen/hex head style. Manufactured from stainless steel, they are engineered to withstand a tensile strength of 150,000 pounds per square inch.

These HEADLOCK locking header bolts eliminate the need for separate lock washers. They incorporate 24 equally spaced serrations on the head face that grip the manifold surface, preventing loosening due to vibration or metal expansion.

Special attention should be paid to using anti-seize lubricant on all stainless steel fasteners. The fasteners come in a natural, polished finish.

Headlock (TM) Bolts eliminate the need for lock washers, Period. That's because each Headlock (TM) Bolt features 24 equally-spaced, stainless steel teeth serrations that bite into and hold onto the attaching surface-eliminating the need for lock-washers.
