The Flashark long tube header and Y-pipe kit is engineered as a superior-flowing replacement for the restrictive stock cast manifolds found on 1999-2006 GM GMT800 platform 1500 Trucks and SUVs. This kit directly addresses common problems such as the cold-start exhaust tick often caused by warped or cracked factory manifolds, as well as lazy throttle response and overall performance bottlenecks. The long tube design significantly improves exhaust scavenging compared to stock manifolds or shorty headers, leading to better mid-range pull and an improved V8 exhaust note. This kit includes a matching 3-inch Y-pipe, gaskets, and hardware for a comprehensive upgrade. Available finishes include Silver and Black. This header kit is designed as a bolt-on installation for 2WD models. However, for 4WD / 4x4 trucks, the Y-pipe may interfere with the front driveshaft, potentially requiring modification (cutting/welding) by a professional shop.
