The Skunk2 Racing High-Lift Lost Motion Assembly (LMA) Spring Kit is engineered as a direct replacement for factory LMAs in Honda B and H Series VTEC engines. Its primary role is to ensure the center VTEC rocker remains correctly positioned when not engaged and to offer supplementary spring force to manage the increased weight of the rocker assembly during engagement. This is particularly crucial when high-lift camshafts are installed, as factory LMAs can be prone to binding and causing wear on the VTEC lobe. Designed to address the limitations of stock components, Skunk2's LMA kit features a spring style with extended travel to effectively accommodate high-lift camshafts. The kit includes hardened tips for enhanced longevity and durability. Skunk2 recommends replacing LMA's as a preventive measure when installing aftermarket camshafts.
