Description

The Tru-Cool LPD4454 is a low-pressure drop automatic transmission oil cooler manufactured by Long Manufacturing Ltd. It features a stacked plate cooling design with 36 plates and a BTU rating of 13,000. This cooler is designed for GVW ratings up to 18,000 lbs and includes fittings, hardware, and mounting options for easy installation without special tools.

The torque converter in an automatic transmission generates heat, which is absorbed by the transmission oil. This oil then passes through a cooling system to dissipate the heat, ensuring proper lubrication and operation of the gear train.
