Low-Profile Cast Aluminum Oil Pan

The SPELAB low-profile retro-fit oil pan is crafted from lightweight cast aluminum, offering improved ground and chassis clearance. It is compatible with LS wet-sump engines that utilize stock oil filter mounting and supports a maximum engine stroke of 3.62 inches, with a sump oil capacity of 5.5 quarts and a total capacity of 6.0 quarts with the stock filter. This oil pan is designed for Gen III/IV blocks including 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L LS1, LS2, and LS3 engines. It fits GM/Chevrolet cars and trucks with SBC or BBC engines. While it fits most LS engines, it explicitly excludes LS7 or LS9 dry sump applications. Specific vehicle fitments include Camaro/Firebird (1967-1969), Nova/Apollo/Ventura/Omega (1982-1992), GM A-body (1964-1972), G-body (1978-1987), and F-body (1982-1992) applications. Installation notes indicate that engine position may require adjustment for clearance depending on the specific application. This oil pan requires the use of an LS3 style dipstick and tube (GM #12669528 and #12625031, respectively). It will not fit GM G platform (G-Body) applications. The oil filter compatibility includes AC Delco PF48/PF48E, K&N HP-1017, or equivalent oil filters. The included components are an oil pan gasket, sump baffle, oil pickup tube, drain plug, oil filter stud, oil passage cover, and mounting hardware.
