The Quik-Latch QL-38-LP is a low-profile hood pin kit that bridges the gap between smaller mini latches and larger full-size kits. Designed with the import and compact performance market in mind, it delivers the reliable push-button function Quik-Latch is known for, combined with the robust holding power required for hood pins. Its reduced physical presence ensures a clean, unassuming aesthetic that complements your vehicle's build. Constructed from T6 aluminum and manufactured in the USA, these hood pins are built to last. They offer a premium appearance, avoiding the rust and scratched paint jobs associated with traditional hood pins. Quik-Latch hoods pins are backed by a lifetime warranty against corrosion, providing both form and function. The latch mechanism features a 1.75" diameter, and the mounting ball pin is 4" long, with each latch rated for 500lbs of holding force. The kit includes two latch mechanisms, two retaining rings, all necessary stainless steel nuts and washers, and set screws. It also comes with instructions. A crucial safety disclaimer reminds users that all vehicles must retain the factory or other safety catch for the hood. Failure to do so may result in the hood coming up while driving. Always ensure the button is flush with the body to confirm the latch is engaged before driving.
