Lowering Springs

The eMMOTION lowering springs by Emmanuele Design are engineered to lower your 8V A3 or S3 while preserving ride quality. Designed with the daily driver in mind, these springs provide the desired lowered stance without the common harsh or bouncy ride associated with typical lowering springs. Developed using experience with the MQB platform and tested on in-house S3 and MK7 GTI models, these springs are optimized to work with factory dampers. Constructed from high tensile chrome silicon, a material that allows for a lighter spring capable of sustaining repeated deflection without deformation, each spring is shot peened, pre-set, and 100% tested for critical dimensions and load tolerance. The springs are finished with a stealth black powder coat for an OEM appearance. The linear design, similar to OEM, and unique spring rates ensure they are properly matched to the factory dampers, resulting in a ride quality that is slightly stiffer than stock but predictable. Specifications for lowering height vary by model: Audi S3 with Magnetic Ride can expect approximately a 0.5" drop front and rear, while S3 models without Magnetic Ride will see about a 0.75" drop. Audi A3 models without the Sport Package will experience approximately a 1.75" drop front and rear. The kit includes the lowering springs and optional reverse rake adapter pads for the rear, allowing for adjustment of the body line to achieve either a level appearance or a slight forward rake. These springs are compatible with magnetic ride control, maintaining distinct ride characteristics between modes. For most wheel and tire setups, rubbing should not be an issue, though a 19x8.5 ET35 wheel is typically recommended for a flush fit. For A3 models, a 0.5" trim of the bump stops is recommended front and rear.
