Lowering Springs

The EMD Auto lowering springs are a direct replacement for the stock units on the BMW M4, designed to achieve a tasteful drop without compromising ride quality. The goal of this kit is to enhance the vehicle's aesthetics while retaining, or even improving upon, the factory ride experience. Each spring is constructed in the USA from high tensile chrome silicon material. The manufacturing process includes shot peening, pre-setting, and 100% testing to guarantee that all critical dimensions, rates, and loads are within specified tolerances. This ensures consistent performance and durability. For a stealthy, OEM appearance, the springs are finished with a durable, stealth black powder coating. The specifications for these lowering springs include a front lowering of 1.3 inches and a rear lowering of 0.9 inches. They also feature increased spring rates: the front rate increases from 186 lb/in stock to 194 lb/in, and the rear rate increases from 608 lb/in stock to 645 lb/in. The linear design, similar to OEM springs, is intended to prevent premature wear on factory shocks and struts by staying within their normal travel range. Additionally, the linear design with no dead coils ensures there will be no added noise over a stock setup. This kit is explicitly noted as not intended for use on the F83 convertible. The vehicle fitment is for the BMW 4 Series F82/F83 M4 models from 2015-2020 with the S55 3.0L engine.
