LS 383 SHRT BLK FLAT 24T

This is a GM LM7 5.3L (Iron LS1 / LS6) short block with a year range of 1999-2007. It features a bore/stroke of 3.903” x 4.000” and a displacement of 383 cu.in. It includes a Manley 4340 forged 24 tooth crankshaft, Scat premium pro 4340 I beam rods with ARP 8740 bolts, and Wiseco 2618 forged -3cc flat top moly skirt coated pistons with Wiseco GFX (alloy steel top ring) rings. Compression ratios are 65cc = 11.3:1 / 67cc = 11:1 / 70cc = 10.7:1 (can vary due to deck height/gasket thickness). Camshaft bearings, freeze plugs, and oil galley plugs are installed and sealed. Recommended components include an internal balance balancer, internal balance flex plate/flywheel, .051” or per application head gasket, and a Melling #10295 oil pump with a high-pressure spring. Recommended oil is 10W40 Non-synthetic for the first 3000 miles, and a Wix or K&N oil filter per application.
