LS1 Alternator Conversion Kit

The Platinum Racing Products LS1 Alternator Conversion Kit offers a significant upgrade over the stock SR alternator, which typically outputs 70-90 amps and is prone to age-related issues. This conversion kit allows for the installation of a GM LS1 alternator, providing a robust 140-amp output, ideal for modern builds with aftermarket ECUs, fuel pumps, or upgraded ignition systems that can easily exceed the OEM alternator's capacity. It features a 5-axis machined billet block adaptor bracket and an integrated adjuster bracket, ensuring the alternator is mounted as close to the block as possible for a clean and efficient installation. The package includes the PRP Custom Billet Alternator Bracket, PRP Custom Billet Block Adaptor Bracket, adjusting hardware, and a 20% under-driven alternator pulley designed for SR 5-rib belts. An optional JAS LS1 Alternator, equivalent to the discontinued GM 92058857, is also available. Buyers can select from various color options for the bracket and pulley components, with the assumption that all selected components will match. For custom color requests, customers should leave a note at checkout. The kit is intended for track use and should be installed by a qualified mechanic. It is crucial to note that these kits DO NOT fit the GTI-R SR20 variants.
