Overview

The Speed Engineering longtube headers are constructed from 304 stainless steel, featuring a polished finish and mandrel-bent tubing. These headers are designed for LS1/LS6 engines, with 1 7/8" primaries and a 3" collector. They are TIG welded, CNC machined, and include a merge spike for improved performance. The product is designed for improved ground clearance and is suitable for V8 engines.

These headers feature 1 7/8" primaries and a 3" collector, designed for LS1/LS6 engines. The construction includes precise mandrel bending, TIG welding, CNC machined flanges, and a merge spike, all aimed at maximizing performance and ensuring a quality fit. They are engineered for improved ground clearance, even for lowered vehicles, and are explicitly for V8 engines only. Designed for the 1997-2004 C5 Corvette and C5 Corvette ZO6 models, these headers are dyno proven to deliver gains of over 25rwhp. Installation notes indicate that a 2001-2004 oil dipstick tube is required, and an X-pipe kit from Speed Engineering is necessary for proper header installation. Additionally, this product is designated as RACE ONLY and is intended solely for competition purposes, not for use on public roads or highways. Users have reported excellent fitment and sound quality, with some noting the need for specific spark plug wires to avoid contact with the #2 primary tube.
