LS3 SS2 Camshaft

The GPI LS3 SS2 Camshaft is engineered for performance enthusiasts seeking an edge in street/strip applications. With specifications including 0.646 inches of lift on the intake and 0.637 inches on the exhaust, and a duration of 228/240 degrees, this cam is designed to rival the torque output of the SS1 while delivering an estimated 10-15 additional horsepower at the top end. This camshaft is recommended for vehicles running a 3000+ RPM torque converter, and it is noted to be strong up to 6700 RPM. For optimal performance, increased rear end gear ratios are also recommended. The SS2 camshaft is a performance upgrade that significantly enhances engine powerband characteristics for demanding driving conditions. Available options include the camshaft by itself, or as part of a kit that includes BTR .660 Dual Valve Springs with steel retainers and GPI 5/16" 7.425" .080" pushrods. A more comprehensive kit also adds a 3-bolt cam conversion kit with ARP cam bolts and a 58X four-pole cam gear, catering to specific engine builds and requirements.
