The Gwatney Performance (GPI) Stage 3 LS3 6.2L Camshaft, also known as the SS3, is a popular choice for street/strip enthusiasts seeking increased torque and horsepower. This camshaft is engineered with a 233/253 duration, .646”/.637” lift, and a 112 LSA, and is built on a durable 5150 steel core with a 3-bolt timing gear pattern. Optimized for GM LS3 engines with rectangular port cylinder heads, this cam is an excellent selection for applications such as 6.2L Camaros, Corvettes, Caprice PPV, L76 G8 GTs, and LS Swap vehicles. To achieve optimal performance and ensure proper installation, this camshaft requires a torque converter rated for 3600+ RPM and benefits from 3.91 gearing. Additionally, dual .660 valve springs and hardened pushrods are necessary components for installation.
