This service involves hand-porting and blending the throttle body to optimize airflow. The porting process is designed to complement other performance modifications, particularly the GPI LS3 Intake Manifold Mod. It is compatible with specific LS3 applications, including the 2010-2015 Camaro SS (LS3/L99 engines), 2009-2013 C6 Corvette (LS3 engines), and the 2014-2017 Chevy SS (LS3 engines). For customers with a 2008 C6 Corvette, while the application explicitly states 2009-2013, one response suggests it may work but advises caution due to potential uncertainties and the risk/reward factor. For LT1 intake manifolds, this LS3 throttle body porting service will not work. The service does not include a core exchange for the throttle body; customers must either send their own throttle body for modification or purchase a new one from Gwatney. The typical turnaround time for the porting service is approximately one week. It is not legal for use in California or other states with similar laws and regulations.
