LS364/450 6.0L Long Block Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance LS364/450 is a value-driven, long-block crate engine engineered to provide a high-performance upgrade for earlier LS-powered vehicles. Built upon a strong, economical cast iron cylinder block with 6-bolt mains and cross-bolted caps, this engine features a nodular iron crankshaft and LS3 rectangular port aluminum cylinder heads. The rotating assembly is designed for durability, complemented by a high-lift hydraulic roller camshaft (0.550"/0.550" lift, 204°/218° duration @ 0.050") and 2.165"/1.590" valves. This engine produces 452 horsepower at 5600 RPM and 441 ft-lbs of torque at 4800 RPM, with a 10.3:1 compression ratio. Designed for easier retro-fit installations, the LS364/450 utilizes early-style 24X crankshaft and 1X camshaft sensors, making it compatible with vehicles such as 1998–2002 Camaros, C5 Corvettes, and 1999–2006 full-size trucks and SUVs. However, this assembly is sold as a long-block only, excluding the induction system, ignition system, and front-end accessory drive. Builders will need to transfer components from their existing vehicle or select new ones. Installation requires specific components and considerations. An intake manifold matched to LS3/L92-style rectangular intake ports is mandatory; while LS3 or L96 production intake manifolds can be used, they require an aftermarket adapter plate for early LS three-bolt throttle bodies. The engine is compatible with a vehicle’s existing Gen III controller, but tuning is required. This engine is not intended for marine applications. It includes an LQ9 oil pan.
