LS364/450 6.0L Long Block Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance LS364/450 is a 6.0L (364 cu in) long block crate engine, built as a performance-oriented foundation for various project vehicles. It starts with a robust 6-bolt cast iron cylinder block featuring cross-bolted main caps, paired with a nodular iron crankshaft and powdered metal connecting rods. Hypereutectic aluminum pistons contribute to the 10.3:1 nominal compression ratio. Key performance components include the LS6 hydraulic roller camshaft with 0.550-inch valve lift and 204º intake/218º exhaust duration at 0.050 inches lift. The engine is topped with aluminum LS3 rectangular port cylinder heads, featuring 68cc chambers and large 2.165-inch intake (hollow stem) and 1.590-inch exhaust (solid stem) valves. Investment cast rocker arms with roller bearing trunnions and a 1.7:1 ratio complete the valvetrain. This LS364/450 long block assembly is specifically designed for easier retro-fit installations into earlier LS-powered vehicles, utilizing the 24X crankshaft and 1X camshaft sensors. This makes it compatible with vehicles such as 1998–2002 Camaros, C5 Corvettes, and 1999–2006 full-size trucks and SUVs. However, it is sold without induction, ignition, or front-end accessory drive systems, requiring builders to transfer components or select their own. Installation requires an intake manifold matched to LS3/L92-style rectangular intake ports. While LS3 or L96 production intake manifolds can be used, an aftermarket adapter plate may be necessary for early LS three-bolt throttle bodies if using an OEM Gen 3 throttle body. The engine is compatible with a vehicle's existing Gen III controller, but tuning is required. This engine is not intended for marine applications.
