The Chevrolet Performance LS376/480 crate engine represents a significant upgrade for performance enthusiasts, boasting a 495 horsepower and 473 ft-lbs of torque output at 6200 RPM and 4500 RPM, respectively. This LS-Series Gen IV Small-Block V-8 displaces 376 cubic inches (6.2L) and features a robust construction including a cast aluminum block with 6-bolt, cross-bolted main caps, a nodular iron crankshaft, and powdered metal steel connecting rods. Key components contributing to its performance include hypereutectic aluminum pistons, a steel hydraulic roller tappet camshaft with .525-inch lift and 219/228 degrees duration at .050 inches, and high-flowing aluminum L92-style cylinder heads with 68cc combustion chambers. The engine is balanced internally and uses a 58X reluctor. It comes fully assembled by GM with ignition coils, plug wires, spark plugs, an oil pump and pan (Camaro/Chevy SS style), exhaust manifolds, intake manifold with injectors and throttle body, a 14-inch automatic transmission flexplate, harmonic balancer (Corvette spacing), front timing cover, aluminum water pump, oil filter, and a passenger-side dipstick. The LS376/480 comes with a General Motors limited 2-year/50,000-mile parts & labor warranty when installed by a GM Dealer.
