The Chevrolet Performance LS376/525 Crate Engine offers a potent blend of performance and durability, producing 525 horsepower at 6300 RPM and 486 lb-ft of torque. This LS-Series Gen-IV Small-Block V-8 features a 376 cubic inch (6.2L) displacement and is built upon a cast aluminum block with robust six-bolt, cross-bolted main caps. Key internal components include a nodular iron crankshaft, powdered metal connecting rods, and hypereutectic aluminum pistons. This engine incorporates an aggressive hydraulic roller camshaft (P/N 88958770) developed for high-rpm performance, featuring 0.525-inch lift and 226°/236° duration at 0.050 inches lift, paired with a tight 110-degree lobe separation angle and higher-rate valve springs. The aluminum L92-style cylinder heads have 68cc chambers and 2.165-inch intake valves. For installation in late-model GM vehicles, tuning is required to optimize performance. When installing in a vintage vehicle, a controller kit (P/N 19259261) is necessary, which includes a throttle pedal for the electronically controlled throttle body.
