LS427/570 427 Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance LS427/570 is a 427 cubic inch (7.0L) LS-Series Small-Block V-8 crate engine, building upon the performance of the LS7. It has been enhanced to deliver 570 horsepower and 540 lb.-ft. of torque, an increase of 65 hp and 70 lb.-ft. over the production-based LS7 crate engine, thanks to a new, higher-lift camshaft. This engine features a cast aluminum block with 6-bolt, cross-bolted main caps, a forged steel crankshaft, and forged titanium connecting rods. It is equipped with hypereutectic aluminum pistons and CNC-ported LS7-style cylinder heads that include 2.20-inch titanium intake valves and 1.61-inch sodium-filled exhaust valves. The camshaft is a unique high-lift hydraulic roller design with 0.591-inch intake and 0.590-inch exhaust lift, coupled with high-rate valve springs. Its compression ratio is 11.0:1 and it is internally balanced. Designed for easier installation, this LS427/570 utilizes a wet-sump oiling system, eliminating the need for the supporting components required by the LS7's dry-sump system. It comes assembled with a low-profile LS7 EFI intake manifold, complete with fuel rails, injectors, and throttle body. Additionally, it includes a 14-inch Camaro Z/28 168-tooth manual transmission flywheel. Important considerations for installation and use include: this engine is sold separately from the LS427 Engine Controller P/N 19420000, and it is not intended for marine applications. The engine is based on the production LS7 crate engine and is discontinued from GM production.
