The Chevrolet Performance LS6 valve spring is a single, beehive-style valve spring designed as a direct replacement for GM LS6 and high-performance springs. It is engineered to handle aggressive cam profiles with up to .550 inches of lift, making it an ideal choice for street/strip and boosted applications that require enhanced valvetrain stability. The beehive design of these springs helps to reduce mass within the valvetrain, which in turn improves harmonics and increases spring efficiency, particularly at higher RPMs. This results in better control of the valvetrain in performance-oriented engines. The spring offers 90 lbs of pressure at an installed height of 1.800 inches and a spring rate of 295 lb/in at 1.250 inches, ensuring reliable performance without experiencing coil bind or float. These springs are a direct fit for 4.8L to 6.2L LS engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LQ4, and LQ9 cylinder heads, and can be installed without any modifications. They are built to strict tolerances for enhanced consistency and longevity, providing an OEM-like quality and durability that made the original LS6 spring popular, but with modern metallurgy and spring technology from PAC Racing.
