The RS Model uses a coil spring for smoother, quicker initial clutch plate engagement with low initial torque, allowing smooth turns before full LSD activation. RS Springs provide constant pressure, minimizing initial torque loss. The pressure ring has dual profiles for switching between 1 way, 1.5 way, and 2 way without extra components. It activates under acceleration with less understeer during deceleration than a 2-way LSD. All Cusco LSDs offer adjustable responsiveness and locking characteristics via plate combination and stacking.
