LSD Unit

This differential is highly customizable, with multiple selectable settings that allow drivers to tune its performance for specific applications. Options range from aggressive "Tarmac Race" settings with 40/65 ramps and 120Nm lock-up to more forgiving "Road/Trackday" configurations featuring 40/65 ramps and 60Nm lock-up. For off-road and rally use, "Gravel" settings are available with 30/60 ramps, adjustable to 120Nm or a less aggressive 60Nm with fewer plates and low preload. Further customization includes "Old ZF Spec" settings for both race (45/45 ramps, 120Nm) and road (45/45 ramps, 60Nm) applications. The unit also offers "Race (Soft Locking/Lightweight)" and "Road (Soft, Lightweight)" options with 50/80 ramps, in addition to "Race (Open on Over-Run)" and "Road (Less Plates)" with 30/80 ramps. Specialized settings for "Hill Climb" in both race (45/80 ramps, 120Nm) and road (45/80 ramps, 60Nm) scenarios are also provided. A "Custom Build Spec" option allows for bespoke tuning in consultation with Gripper. This LSD is compatible with all Volvo beam-axle units, including specific support for Dana 1030 and 1031 axles often found in models like the 240 series.
