LSJ S3 Cobalt Heat Exchanger

The ZZP LSJ S3 Cobalt Heat Exchanger is an in-house manufactured, all-aluminum upgrade designed for LSJ engines equipped with the M62 supercharger. This unit replaces or supplements the factory Bosch intercooler pump system, which cools the supercharger's outlet air via laminova cores in the lower intake. The ZZP heat exchanger boasts a larger coolant capacity and a greater fin area (4000 sq. in.) compared to the stock unit, allowing for more effective cooling and a reduction in boost temperatures. Constructed from aluminum, this heat exchanger is fully TIG welded and pressure tested to ensure maximum cooling with minimal weight (6.4 pounds). It features a 2-row, dual-pass design with core measurements of 28x6.5x2.25 inches and overall measurements of 32.5x6.5x2.25 inches. The unit has a capacity of 1.8 liters and includes 49 inches of 3/4-inch hose, 2 fittings, and 4 hose clamps. It installs by integrating with the factory intercooler system, even working with or without dual-pass kits. Installation involves drilling four holes into the existing bumper support. The unit can be used in conjunction with the factory intercooler by routing the outlet hose from the ZZP exchanger to the inlet of the factory cooler, and the outlet of the factory cooler to where the original hose was removed from the factory exchanger.
