LSX 454 Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance LSX 454 long block crate engine offers a combination of small-block size and big-block power, leveraging LSX technology for a formidable powerplant. It is constructed with an all-forged, super-tough rotating assembly and is topped with LS7-style LSX 6-bolt cylinder heads, ensuring durability and high performance. This engine is rated to produce approximately 627 horsepower at 6300 RPM and 586 lb.-ft. of torque at 5100 RPM. It features a cast-iron LSX block with 6-bolt, cross-bolted main caps and comes with OEM-type hydraulic roller camshaft. The cylinder heads are LSX-LS7 Port Aluminum with a 70cc chamber volume and 2.20"/1.61" valves, utilizing an LS7 rectangular port intake pattern. This crate engine does not include an oil pan, and the valve covers do not have provisions for mounting ignition coil brackets; aftermarket or custom relocation brackets are required. Additionally, it features an 8-bolt crankshaft flange that may necessitate an adapter for certain transmissions. An intake manifold is also not included; compatibility is noted with LSX-LS7 single-plane carbureted intake manifolds (discontinued) or Holley Hi-Ram/MSD Atomic LS7 intakes, depending on clearance. The engine is backed by a 2-year, 50,000-mile warranty.
