Overview

The Chevrolet Performance LSX 454 is a long block crate engine built with an all-forged, super-tough rotating assembly. It features new Chevrolet Performance deep-breathing LSX 6-bolt cylinder heads and orange powdercoated valve covers with an engraved LSX454 logo. This engine produces approximately 627 horsepower and 586 lb.-ft. of torque when paired with a carburetor and high-flow intake manifold (sold separately).

The Chevrolet Performance LSX 454 is a long block crate engine designed to deliver exceptional power, producing approximately 627 hp and 586 lbs.-ft. of torque when paired with a carburetor and high-flow intake manifold (sold separately). This engine features a super-tough, all-forged rotating assembly and new Chevrolet Performance deep-breathing LSX 6-bolt cylinder heads. Finished with striking orange powdercoated valve covers bearing an engraved LSX454 logo, this engine is a visually impressive as it is powerful. It utilizes a cast iron LSX block with 6-bolt, cross-bolted main caps and an internal balance. Key specifications include a 454 cu. in. (7.4L) displacement, a 4.185 in. bore x 4.125 in. stroke, and camshaft specifications of .648 valve lift and 236° intake / 246° exhaust duration (@.050 in). Due to the number of application variations, this long block crate engine does not include an oil pan. Additionally, the valve covers do not include provisions for mounting ignition coil brackets. This engine replaces the 19355573 part number with the updated 19417357.
