Overview

The Speed Engineering LT Swap Longtube Headers are constructed from 304 stainless steel and designed for G-Body vehicles from 1982-1987.

These headers feature mandrel bent tubing with 1 7/8" primaries and a 3" collector, incorporating merge spikes and CNC machined flanges. They are specifically engineered for LT series engine swaps into V8 LS engines, including 5.3L, 6.2L, LT1, and LT4 applications.

These headers are designed with precise mandrel bent tubing, featuring 1 7/8" primaries that transition into a 3" collector, complete with merge spikes for optimal exhaust flow. The CNC machined flanges ensure a secure and leak-free seal. Designed specifically for V8 LS engines during an LT swap, these headers are compatible with 5.3L, 6.2L, LT1, and LT4 engines. The natural stainless steel construction and tig welding underscore the quality build intended to balance performance and affordability. Installation may require fabrication due to older vehicle frame clearance, as the headers are pulled in very tight and will necessitate the use of specific spark plug wires. If utilizing a larger 4L80E or older Turbo 350/400 transmission, trimming of the bellhousing ears might be necessary for adequate clearance. Additionally, adjustable motor mounts with a 1" offset back may be required. It is important to note that these headers are intended for race-only applications and may not be legal for use on public roads.
